Writing is a relatively new thing to me. I never really thought much about it until after my transplant. It just started and, so far, hasnat stopped. I canat explain why or how, but I enjoy writing and hope to continue. I believe it may go with the gift I received when I got the new heart. The poems inside may be meant to share my experience with others. If that is the case, I hope I do a good job. THE SECOND BEGINNING In November 2000, I received a new heart. Am I wrong to say, I got a chance for the second start? We will never know why my own couldnat do its part. My new one, from a young Marine, it must be much stronger. I certainly hope it will last a lot longer. The story, some may need to hear. What I went through, as well as the family close and dear. If there are any out there facing this dreaded unknown, know in your heart you are not alone. Those of you waiting, in the long line, I hope God smiles on you, and yours goes as good as mine.
